September to October 2017

Hi all, It has once again been a busy, yet productive, few months. We have attended a few shows, including Forbes, Griffith, ACTSJC among others. We have also started training a number of our young horses whom we bred. We are very excited for their future and hope they will be out and competing in no time! A number of new horses have been welcomed to our team, and others have been sold to new homes. Below are a few summaries from some of the shows we have recently attended.

Forbes Show:

Team Emmaville had a great time at the Forbes Show. We were very happy with the horses who produced many lovely rounds of jumping. Thank you to Forbes Show Society and Jennifer Wood for organising a very good show and also to Tim Dansey for his great courses.Grant and Emmaville Define placed 4th in the Derby. Congratulations to Deon Williams who won the class. Thank you to Sarah Dreverman and Clinton Vandersanden for again riding some of our lovely horses. They also rode great rounds on their horses. Alyssa and Emmaville Pine were very excited to win a rug for best presented and sportsmanship adult rider - thanks to Boree Equine for sponsoring this prize! Two of our lovely horses, Emmaville Charisma and Emmaville Define, are mother and son. We were lucky enough to breed these 2 wonderful horses and it is an absolute joy to have them competing together. We are very excited about the lovely young horses starting to step up in the team. Thank you again to our support crew, including Monica who came with us and to our staff at home.

Griffith Show: Team Emmaville journeyed to Griffith Show and had a successful and enjoyable time. All horses performed their best and took out wins and places in the showjumping, dressage and hunter hacks. Many thanks to the Griffith Show Society for re-instating the showjumping this year. A big thank you to the West family for their hard work in planning and helping run the showjumping. We were very happy with all our horses, and our riders Grant, Alyssa and Emma had a great time. Also a thank you to Tim Dansey for his great courses. Unfortunately we didn't get too many action shots as we had our hands full with 3 or so horses per class, but it was a great day with our team, with Grant also riding some of our up and coming horses.

ACT Showjumping Club: We had a great day at ACT Showjumping Club competition yesterday. Young and new ones had a start and jumped well. And one old one re-cycled as a wonderful educator. Horses all tried their hearts out. Thank you to riders Sarah Dreverman and Clinton Van Der Sanden and groom Monica Ballard and the rest of the team for your help on the day. Thank you Cameron Christie for your wonderful photos.
